Q: Is the Brittany Project a Non-Profit organization?
A: Yes, we are 501 3c nonprofit; all contributions are 100% tax deductible.
Q: What items do you accept for donation?
A:Due to limited storage, we can ONLY accept the following items in November/December; New or very gently used 4’ – 6’ artificial Christmas trees, ornaments,lights, tree toppers, tree skirts, that have all parts, and are in appropriate secure containers or boxes. We also accept monetary donations via the donate button on the homepage, or at any First TN Bank branch location in Middle TN, under The Brittany Project.
Q: What is the selection process of the families who receive a tree?
A: We receive request through school guidance counselors, low-income neighborhood learning centers, and individual referrals. If you or someone you know is in need of a tree, please contact us via email info@thebrittanyproject.org.
Q: Where can I donate a tree, ornaments, skirt or topper?
A: We will post donation drop-off locations by November 1st under our calendar, latest news and on Facebook
Q: Are trees and decorations new?
A: Some are new, and some are gently used. Because we rely heavily on the generosity of the public for donations, we cannot guarantee new/used trees or ornaments, the size of tree, the color of tree, lights or ornaments that a family will receive.
Q: What Counties are included in the program?
A: Currently, we only service Rutherford County.
Q: Do any other items come with the tree?
A: When available, ornaments, tree skirts, and tree toppers, will also be included.
Q: Is the tree mine to keep?
A: Yes
Q: Do you have a list of who has received a tree previously?
A: Yes, all recipients sign a release upon receiving the tree.

Q: Do you offer other services?
A: Yes, for more information, please visit The Brittany Project At-risk youth Athletic/ the Arts sponsorship program. There are also occasions when other organizations working with the elderly and the homeless have exhausted their funds, and will ask us for help. Funds permitting, we have, and will continue to help when possible.
Q: What are the requirements to receive a tree?
A: You have not received a tree prior to this year, you are a current resident of Rutherford County, you have an up to date current VALID TN photo ID, and UPDATED proof of ONE of the following; SSI/SSDI, government assistance, and/or Low income housing/section 8.
